The Feathers and Flowers Garden Club plant sale, originally scheduled for May 18, has been moved to June 1 at the Kiel City Park shelter because of the lack of spring-like weather conditions necessary for digging up and dividing plants for sale.
June 5 is the tour date of the Herb Farm at Cedar Lake. Learn how to plant, prune and harvest culinary herbs and heirloom tomatoes. Companion planting with herbs, vegetables and flowers also will be discussed. Herbal refreshments will be served.
The garden club is a non-profit group of gardeners who share their talents and experiences at monthly meetings, February through November, at the Kiel Community Center or on site at local gardens. The club maintains the bridge planters and pocket gardens in the Kiel area. The public is welcome to join the club on any tour and to participate in other club activities. For more information please contact Co-Presidents Linda Goodine at 894-2737 or Bev Lange at 894-3025.
