Kiel Progress briefs 2012
Sneak a Peek at new boutique

Sneak a Peek Boutique opened at 627 Fremont St. in Kiel in August, and owner Roxane Lisowe continues to bring a wide variety of new merchandise to the shop.

“With the recent return from a three-day buying trip to Chicago’s Merchandise Mart, I have a great season planned with new and exciting merchandise arriving— two to three shipments a week,” Lisowe said. “The merchandise is a wide array from fashion accessories to bar ware and garden accessories.”

Sneak a Peek Boutique offers affordable fashion accessories for all seasons, including jewelry, handbags, hats, pashminas and scarves with jewelry embellishments.

An additional room has been set up with garden items such as metal and glass plate garden stakes handmade locally.

Lisowe said she focuses on providing creative merchandising style, and is helped in the shop by daughter Mackenzie Bonde.

Meyer Plumbing renting softeners

“Diversification” is a big word, and perhaps the best one to describe the big list of services provided by Meyer Plumbing of Kiel.

The team of Brian Meyer, Bill Riesterer, Sean Lorbecki, Tyler Berenz and Traci Walsdorf (administrative assistant) do residential, septic and commercial plumbing work, including water heaters, water softeners, sump pumps, sewage pumps, drain cleaning, light excavating and much more.

Meyer Plumbing has also added water

softener rentals to its list of services. Meyer Plumbing works on new home

construction, and can either serve as a subcontractor or owner-directed contractor. Remodeling is another huge part of their services, ranging from kitchen to bath projects and all over homes and businesses. Meyer Plumbing also does service work and general repairs.

Meyer Plumbing also has the capability of testing for troublesome mineral content in private water systems and cleaning up a host of those issues, including hardness and the presence of iron or sulfur.

The business is located in Persnickety Park on Kiel’s northeast side and was founded in 2004. Meyer Plumbing offers a showroom for customers to make their selections of plumbing fixtures by appointment. The business is available for 24-hour service at 894-8444.
