Mueller’s Barbershop is a Kiel institution, having been founded by Wilmer Mueller on Dec. 5, 1962—which means he will be celebrating his 50th anniversary in business this year.

Wilmer is still cutting hair at the shop at 325 Fremont St. He was joined in July 2004 by his daughter, Dyanna Muldoon, who assists with men’s and women’s haircuts, shampoos and styles, up-do’s, perms and hair coloring. The shop also carries Paul Mitchell, Bed Head and Matrix hair products.

The curriculum is based on current instructional standards as set forth by the State of Wisconsin and Diocese of Green Bay. In addition, students are given the tangible gift of Catholic education. Christ is alive within the walls of St. Gregory School. Students find Him everywhere. Holidays are celebrated around Him. His Word is shared at prayer and Mass. Students are fostered in a sense of service and responsibility to one another, their church, community, country and world.

St. Gregory School is the recipient of a Monsanto Technology Grant for classroom laptops, and a corporate donation added computers to the computer lab. The school also is utilizing Option C School Management Software.

A $100 per new student Tuition Grant will be available for the 2011-’12 school year. The school’s unique tuition program offers flexible “Fair Share” tuition payments. In addition, Adopt-A-Student and endowment funds are available to make St. Gregory School an affordable option for everyone. The school is currently accepting 2012-’13 enrollments for all programs.

Fr. Patrick Nelson, S. D. S., is the newly assigned parish administrator. Rita Steffen is the principal.
