Through 12 brands, 62 manufacturingplants—including St. Nazianz—48 research and development centers, a workforce of over 71,000 people and some 10,000 dealers, CNH Industrial delivers power, technology, innovation and services to farmers, builders and drivers in Racine and throughout the world.
CNH Industrial’s brands bring forth a rich history that dates back more than 170 years, with deep roots in Racine. Today, the company’s expertise spans industries and continents, building upon a great tradition of historic achievements and significant contribution to the development of technological know-how in the industries in which it operates. CNH Industrial’s brands continue to build upon this base as they deliver to their customers state-of-the-art technology as global leaders in their respective businesses.
CNH Industrial is a solid, major industrial enterprise; a global leader in capital goods, uniting the company’s agricultural and construction equipment operations with Iveco trucks, commercial and specialty vehicles, and FPT Industrial’s broad portfolio of powertrain applications. From tractors and combines, excavators, wheel loaders, trucks, buses, firefighting and civil protection vehicles to powertrain solutions for on and off road and marine, the group designs, produces and sells “machines for work.”
CNH Industrial offers a full range of agricultural equipment under the New Holland Agriculture and Case IH brands worldwide and under the Steyr brand, exclusively in Europe.
The Case IH brand and red logo embody a tradition of leadership in agricultural equipment. Known around the world for its signature red machines, the brand is synonymous with incomparable performance, low operating costs and a high level of reliability.
Current lines built on the past
The range of tractors, balers and combine harvesters reflects the heritage of leading agricultural equipment producers and brands such as Case, International Harvester and David Brown, to name a few. Each brand has played an important role in the history and development of Case IH.
Today, Case IH is recognized as a global provider of powerful, reliable and highly productive equipment, principally for large grain producers, and it boasts an organization of field personnel who are committed to providing a high level of professional service.
Since 1895, New Holland has been committed to providing solutions that improve farming efficiency and productivity by using accessible technology. New Holland is recognized globally for its leadership positions in high horsepower tractors, compact tractors, hay and forage products, combines and construction equipment.
In 2006, the Clean Energy Leader® strategy was launched for the active promotion of renewable fuels, emissions reduction systems and sustainable agricultural technology. New Holland offers cash crop producers, livestock farmers, contractors, vineyards and groundcare professionals the largest choice of easy-to-operate tractors, harvesters, material handling and seeding equipment—more than 100 product lines and over 400 models.
Parts and service support
New Holland complements the widest agricultural equipment offering in the world with efficient parts and service support plus a range of tailored financial services from a specialist in agriculture.
In 1842, Jerome Increase Case established Racine Threshing Machine Works and started the company’s manufacturing presence on the shores of Lake Michigan. While the company has produced everything from threshing machines and steam engines to luxury cars during its long history, today CNH Industrial’s Racine Plant builds the world’s highest-horsepower standard tractor on the market, the Magnum tractor.
The plant also supplies other CNH Industrial plants such as those producing the famous Axial Flow combine harvesters, the award-winning Steiger Quadtrac tractor and the innovative Patriot sprayer. While many of these products stay within the United States’ high-demand agricultural region in the Midwest, a considerable portion are exported to countries as far away as South Africa, Australia, China and Eastern Europe.
One of Racine’s most important contributions to the CNH Industrial product line is the Magnum tractor. The plant has been producing the Magnum for the past 25 years since it first premiered in the marketplace after the company acquired the agricultural division of International Harvester. The Magnum is so popular that the plant produced its 150,000th Magnum earlier this year.
GENESIS made in Racine
For the past 10 years, the legendary GENESIS tractor series has been manufactured at the Racine plant. New Holland, with its proud history in high horsepower tractors, celebrated the 20th anniversary of this tractor in 2013 and re-branded the T8 Series as the GENESIS T8 Series tractors.
Originally rated at 250 engine horsepower, the GENESIS T8.320 with Engine Power Management (EPM) will produce up to 320 horsepower. The GENESIS T8 tractor is powered by an ECOBlue™ Hi-eSCR (High-Efficiency Selective Catalytic Reduction) Cursor 9 engine developed by New Holland’s sister company FPT Industrial. These engines comply with the even-more-stringent Tier 4B emissions standards and are an important part of New Holland’s Clean Energy Leader global strategy.
The company’s established industrial experience, wide range of products and innovative technology, and a global presence make CNH Industrial a company that farmers still go to for their agricultural needs.
