Amerequip continues rapid growth
From its headquarters in Kiel, Amerequip has grown to 260 team members working in four locations between Kiel and New Holstein. The company has invested over $13 million since 2011 in facility and equipment upgrades.

Amerequip® is a Kiel-based designer and manufacturer of custom equipment for the lawn, agricultural and construction markets.

It has an international and national client base in a variety of industries. The firm’s products are produced in four Wisconsin locations by 260 team members.

Since 2011, Amerequip has invested more than $13 million in capital expenditures, including facility and equipment upgrades, technology improvements and an Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP).

Amerequip designed and constructed a two-phase, 100,000 square foot expansion of its Kiel facility; allowing the firm to consolidate its manual and robotic welding operations into a single, state-of-the-art facility, as well as adding needed assembly capacity and a new training center for employees. In turn, the new facility provided space for the growth of Amerequip’s fabrication and machining capabilities at its New Holstein facility in order to meet the strategic needs of its customers as well as providing greater flexibility as the company grows into new markets.

The firm has also grown its employment base by more than 260 percent (expanding from 105 to 260 team members). It took a dedicated effort by Amerequip to attract and retain employees but, by partnering with local schools, area technical colleges and workforce development organizations, Amerequip has been able to find the labor it needs. In addition, team members now have access to training and development opportunities on and off-site, allowing them to stay current in the latest production techniques and technology.

With a focus on technology, expanded

facilities and a skilled workforce, the company has been able to expand its work with existing clients (John Deere, Mahindra USA, Case New Holland, etc.), has grown in existing markets (construction industry, compact utility tractor market, turf care industry) and added new clients including Caterpillar (CAT: construction market), McNeilus (a division of Oshkosh Corp.: municipal and construction markets) and Kioti Tractors (a division of Daedong Tractors: compact utility tractors).

Amerequip was the recipient of Progress Lakeshore’s 2015 Corporate Investment Award. Progress Lakeshore is an economic development organization in Manitowoc County. In addition, in 2015 the firm was a finalist for the Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year award given by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce.

Additionally, over the past three years, Amerequip has received several patents for its innovations in manufacturing as well as awards for its workforce development efforts.
