“We understand we may not always be the lowest price, however we are the best at what we do, and that’s how we add value,” Aschenbrenner said. He added, “If you don’t see it, ask us—for the most part we can get it.”

Plenty of people know that already as Miller Implement has served generations of the same families. “Repeat customers are always good,” Aschenbrenner said. “They’re as good as salespeople out there.”

Years ago, Aschenbrenner said, those customers were 95 percent farmers and contractors, but the desire of many homeowners to move out into the country and have more land and perhaps even a hobby farm has shifted the makeup of Miller Implement’s clientele. Rural homeowners can have a lot of grass to cut and a lot of snow to move, and they often need the type of equipment that Bobcat, Mahindra, Gravely, Scag and others can supply via Miller Implement. As people drive past well manicured homes and see the equipment being utilized, it only helps Miller Implement. “People get to see the finished product,” Aschenbrenner said. “That’s a very big part of our business here.”

Helping those customers, in addition to those people already mentioned, are employees such as Sales Manager Dan Ebert, Sales Specialist Brian Baryenbruch, Pam Hartlaub in Parts, Office Manager Sandy Miller, and others as well. They are continually putting together monthly sales, service and parts specials and they encourage existing and new customers to ask about them.

“We’re extremely customer driven and oriented,” Aschenbrenner said. “We put our attention to sales, service and supply throughout our business.... Nobody is too big or too small for Miller Implement.”
