Repairs part of Abler Art Glass
Since 1976, Abler Art Glass has specialized in decorative glass of the highest quality for residential, commercial and church projects.
For gift giving or collectors of handmade, unique art pieces, the gallery showcases art in mediums of glass, wood, fiber, jewelry, and metal from numerous local and national artists.
“Our business strengths have always focused on customer service,” Bonnie Abler said. “Working with interior designers, builders, architects or the individual, we have an in-house artist to help create the design that can enhance any setting. Visit www.ablerartglass.com or our Facebook page to see projects.”
Abler Art Glass also offers many different types of architectural glass for cabinets and doors, as well as clear glass and mirrors cut to any shape for frames, table tops, etc. Stained glass supplies also are available for the glass enthusiast.
Repair and restoration of antique windows and lamps has become a vital part of the studio, including being able to bend lamp pieces to match that turn of the last century lamp, or a painted piece in a 100-year-old church window.
Since Calumet County and the surrounding areas pride themselves on nature-based tourism and agri-tourism amenities, Abler Art Glass will be one of nine host sites for the Rural Arts Roadtrip. This self-guided tour was started last October, the second weekend, which is usually the peak of autumn color. Each site will have a number of artists display- ing their craft. Also included are organic farms, a corn maze and food. Visitors will be able to obtain a brochure introducing all the participants and a map to guide them to each location. View the Web site www.ruralartsroadtrip.com and/or the Facebook page for additional information.
Abler Art Glass Gallery is located at 16205 Little Elkhart Lake Rd., Kiel; phone 894-7391. Hours are Mondays through Fridays, 9 a. m. to 5 p. m.; and Saturdays, 9 a. m. to 4 p. m.
