Cleveland Sate Bank, a state chartered bank, has been in existence since 1907 in the village of Cleveland. In 2006 they opened a second location in Howards Grove. Providing an independent community bank in the Howards Grove area has been a great experience reciprocated by the support of the community.

Both branches continue to show healthy growth by providing lending for all types of purposes, including real estate, consumer, commercial and agricultural. Equally important is the growth of deposit accounts and providing stable financial deposit products to their clients. They know that if their clients succeed, they also will be successful.

CSB named a top performer

Independent Banker®, the award-winning magazine of the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) and the nation’s number-one source for community banking news, recognized Cleveland State Bank as an outstanding “ICBA 400” community bank performer in its June 2012 issue. The magazine’s year-end rankings of ICBA members are based on the previous year-end earnings and operational efficiencies and shows that the overall performance of community banks across the country continues to steadily improve.

When asked what the contributing factors are to CSB’s success, Tim Schueler, president/chief executive officer, said, “Although there are many contributing factors to our success, the single most important factor is the commitment, dedication, and excellent work of our employees to make sure what we do every day is in the best interest of our clients.
