Kiel Machine focuses on quality

The focus of Kiel Machine Works is producing quality parts delivered on time, according to owners Pat and Jennifer Dickrell.

Kiel Machine Works is a full-service machine shop offering computer numerical control (CNC) and conventional machining making it capable of helping customers with projects from start to finish, whether it is one piece or thousands.

Local at 711 Washington St. in Kiel, the company can help with fixture design and engineering, prototyping, production runs and repair work. Kiel Machine Works can help with the simplest repair job to the most complex, tight-tolerance machined parts, Pat said.

Founded in November 2011, the company’s equipment list includes a Hitachi Seiki HG500 Horizontal Machine Center, OKK MCV-410 Vertical Machine Center, and an Okuma LB-15 CNC lathe.

Pat said he decided to open his own shop after 20-plus years of experience in all aspects of the machining trade.

Kiel Machine Works, LLC is built around the theory of offering quality work with quick turn-around, he said. “We recognize the need for a small, local, full-service machine shop,” Pat said. “Specializing in short-and medium-run and repair jobs, our idea is to build partnerships with local businesses to fill any manufacturing voids they may have.”
